The Regional Deputy Prosecutors General’s Office in Évora is the Public Prosecution Service body seated in Évora which ensures the representation of the Public Prosecution Service in the Évora Court of Appeal; is also entrusted with the direction, management, co-ordination and monitoring of the Public Prosecution Service activities in the judicial district of Évora. This judicial district comprises the counties of Beja, Évora, Faro, Portalegre, Santarém and Setúbal [articles 65(1) and 66 of the Statute of the Public Prosecution Service/SPPS; 117(1), 4(2) and schedule II of Decree-Law No. 49/2014 of 27 March 2014]. The Regional Deputy Prosecutors General’s Office in Évora includes the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Évora Court of Appeal, the regional DCIP (based in Évora) and other regional departments; and oversees the county district prosecutors offices where it exercises territorial jurisdiction and the Administrative and Tax State Prosecutors’ Offices in Évora (which includes the administrative and tax courts of Loulé (seat) and Beja) (article 65(3) (1)(2) and schedule I of the SPPS). The Regional Deputy Prosecutor General’s Office is led by Mrs. Osvaldo José Pereira da Silva Pina, deputy prosecutor general appointed regional deputy prosecutor general.
