Regional Deputy Prosecutors General’s Office - LISBOA

 

The Regional Deputy Prosecutors General’s Office in Lisboa is the Public Prosecution Service body seated in Lisboa which ensures the representation of the Public Prosecution Service in the Lisbon Court of Appeal and at the Southern Central Administrative Court; is also entrusted with the direction, management, co-ordination and monitoring of the Public Prosecution Service activities in the judicial district of Lisbon. This judicial district comprises the counties of Açores, Lisboa, Lisboa Norte, Lisboa Oeste and Madeira [articles 65(1) and 66 of the Statute of the Public Prosecution Service/SPPS; 117(1), 4(2) and schedule II of Decree-Law No. 49/2014 of 27 March 2014].

The Regional Deputy Prosecutors General’s Office in Lisboa includes the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Lisbon Court of Appeal, the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Southern Central Administrative Court, the regional DCIP (based in Lisbon) and other regional departments; and oversees the county district prosecutors offices where it exercises territorial jurisdiction and the Administrative and Tax State Prosecutors’ Office in Lisboa (which includes the administrative and tax courts of Lisboa (seat), Almada, Funchal, Ponta Delgada and Sintra) (article 65(3) (1)(2) and schedule I of the SPPS).

The Regional Deputy Prosecutor General’s Office is led by Helena Gonçalves, deputy prosecutor general.
